Performance Appraisal Scenario
2 EDC actors, playing manager and ‘appraisee’, took
a performance appraisal meeting in real-time, allowing a greater
in-depth analysis of the skills involved in conducting such a review.
In this case, the facilitator was the client trainer.
| “The
forum theatre approach proved extremely effective at engaging
delegates and enabling them to play a real part in the appraisal
interview. This is a new and exciting approach to training,
that is both cost effective and enjoyable for all concerned.
We have found EDC role play refreshing and focused
at adapting their style to our needs and delivering high quality
acting at a reasonable price.”

Team Building Scenario
At a national conference, an EDC team of 4 created a play that introduced
delegates to a dysfunctional team. The delegates were then able
to hot-seat individual characters to gain their perspective on the
issues raised and subsequently, through group discussion and coaching,
influence the team towards a different way of working.
| "The
use of actors was very effective as a training method, much
better than using group members to act out a situation"
