Devising and Writing

EDC can help in a number of ways. For role-play, you can either hand us the brief and let our actors flesh out the characters, doing their own research or we can collaborate with you to produce the briefs and suggest character types. In order to do this, we will need to spend time with you and your organisation in order to reflect best your specific company culture and the issues in focus in your training programme.

For forum theatre to be most effective we will also need to spend time with you in the workplace and have access to employees and managers so that we can build an authentic picture of the way your company works and the language it uses. We will then devise a script for performance or a scenario for improvisation.

We could, of course, transpose this information to a fictional situation, thereby ‘putting the drama into reality.’
