EDC was asked to take part in 3 different role-play interactions:
• A ½ day simulation in which our actors, as The MD
and Marketing Manager of a developing business, were interviewed
by all 8 delegates. Undercurrents within the company structure were
probed and personal issues were counselled.
• Snapshots
A card game format in which delegates tackle 5 minute role-plays
on a variety of issues. Each player picked a card and had a 5 minute
role-play with an actor to begin the process of dealing with the
issue. This exercise is a good catalyst for discussion within the
whole group.

• One-to-One
Each group member had an in-depth role-play on a counselling or
performance issue scenario. The trainer was able to ask the actor
to tailor behaviours to address a delegate’s specific needs.
• The actor fed back to the delegate on their skills and strategy
in dealing with these behaviours.
This course was run 4 times a year over 2 years.
| ‘They
have added value, professionalism and flexibility and are
the best that I have witnessed in the use of role-play to
date’ |
